I have a 27’1973 Silverton wit

I have a 27’1973 Silverton with a Chrysler 318 V- drive (LM318BV) w/ a Paragon transmission (PV32R) and I would like to rebuild a 2nd engine to replace the one that is in the boat right now. The one that I have on hand is a 1968 (LM318BDL16). All I want to use from this engine is the block. Can this be done?

"Does this hold true for the 1966 wide blocks? I have been told that there are no parts available and that the later model long blocks will not work with the '66 intakes, oil pans, etc."
