"Does anyone use a fuel additive for their 2-cycle outboard? I have routinely,since my first boat in 1987, emptied my tank before the start of the new fishing season. I put a bottle of "generic" carburetor cleaner in the tank and put fresh gas. I have never had a problem. I've recently been told that generic fuel additive can hurt a 2-cycle motor. Any truth to this? and if so how? Thanks......."
