"When I got the boat the limit
"When I got the boat the limiter had been bypassed. I have since fixed this and adjusted the 3 wire trim sender so the limiter stops the drive at the trim and tilt points but I cant seem to get the trim gauge to work. It always reads that the drive is tilted up all the way. I have tested the gauge by grounding the signal post, the needle will then move freely to the down position.
I think the problem is in the black box (brain) that feeds the gauge. Is there a way to test this? If not does anyone know where I can get a used one?
Is there a way to bypass this box and wire the gauge "directly" to the sending unit on the leg?
Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
