2004 yamaha hpdi intermitant start

"turned key no starter respons

"turned key no starter response. fuel pump and oil pump worked. Checked fuses, wire connections,battery connections,all looked good.tilted motor up and down still no start.wiggled wires under cover next to fuses,motor started. next day checked connections and inspected wires in connector box, all looked good. tried to start with no luck. tilted motor up and back down, motor started. next day while fishing, no start about 5th time. tilted motor,still no start. slapped side of motor, started . any ideas?"

"Wouldnt start at dock and when I jiggled stater relay and the hit ignition switch ,I could hear it arching inside. Thanks for the help. Great site. Ive told many friends."
