" I have a 1982 40 horse mercu

" I have a 1982 40 horse mercury , it runs pretty good except when I give it the gas at low speed it acts like its starving for gas. I use the boat on lakes around 4000 feet do I need to rejet the carb ?

" Gary, if your motor was set to run at sea level, then you definately need to rejet your carburetor! You need to install different size vent and main fuel jets, plus readjust your idle mixture screw. "
