Wiring Tachometer for Evinrude 48 special

"I remember reading something

"I remember reading something on this but a search didn't reveal what I wanted. It could have been wiped out during the crash.

I have a 1995 Evinrude 48 special with the binnacle control.

I am trying to wire a teleflex tachometer. It has terminals for ign, gnd, send and one for the lighting.

What wires connect to these terminals? Could I expect a plug (connector) that would have these wires? What would that connector look like?

"purple or 12volt when ign key

"purple or 12volt when ign key on goes to ign.
black or engine ground goes to gnd.
gray or feed from alternator (12v when engine running , aprox.)goes to send.
Blue or switched 12 volt from batt goes to lighting.

There were 2 or 3 unused connector plugs under the dash. I'm willing to bet one of them has all these wires. Boat is tucked away for winter right now, but in a month or so, it will be time to get her out and get her ready!"
