"I dont have much room for boat storage, I planned on fixing this merc mariner mag 2, 150 hp,and selling it, there was absolutly nothing wrong with it in 91 when father in law parked boat in garage, after maybe putting 25 to 50 hrs on it, I didn't even know there was an outboard on the boat till I was asked to pull it out of garage for remodeling, but its such a beautifull outboard I may just keep it,
can any one tell me the smallest boat size is that will support this outboard.

It depends on how the boat is

It depends on how the boat is made and what its rated for. I had a 16ft bass boat that was rated for a 150.

I wouldn't recommend doing

I wouldn't recommend doing that as there are many things that go into the determination of max HP ratings. You would be much better off finding one already rated for your motor. All boats are suppose to have a tag somewhere in them giving you that info.
