you can get cheap tachs also

Will these little tach's hook right up to the tach wire off the circuit board? Where do I hook the amp clamp to?
 
I did change out the water pum

I did change out the water pump and impeller the other day but I haven't had a chance to run it. Does this year motor have a safety rpm shutdown if it's not moving enough water to cool it?
