Hello everyone.. I was going to winterize the boat yesterday when I turned the key and just heard a cliking sound. I just charged the battery's a month ago and it ran fine last time I started it. Is the starter going bad? Help! I need to get this engine fogged and winterized....

"Chris, could be a bad/loose connection or a bad solenoid.

You can clean up and tighten the battery connections (at the battery and solenoid end of things) and if all is good, you can try jumping the solenoid. That will quickly tell you if it is the problem..."

I'll try to be short, I took your advice cleaned battery cables and Solenoid connections, found out my batteries were four yrs old and replaced them. I had my dad turn key to see if I felt the starter engage and nothing still clicking, nothing from starter. Is this the solenoid? The manual says to see if there is 12v going to the starter motor. Any other ideas would be appreciated.
