Force 120hp outboard engine that wont start

"I have a force outboard engin

"I have a force outboard engine 120hp that is on the boat. It started when i first bot it and it then started once in the harbour with the engine propt up but stil in the water, when i lowered it into the water it cut out! and i have never been able to get the engine to start since. what could be wrong, if you have any ideas please leave a comment. thanks."

"David, could be numerous things - I spent the best part of this weekend working on a Force.

Start with the basics -

Test the compression

Test for spark at all cylinders

If the compression and spark is good, then look at the fuel system.

If the compression is bad, consider another engine. If the spark is bad on any cylinder, time to get a manual and start testing...."
