My temperture gauge suddenly w

My temperture gauge suddenly wasn't reading anything. I replaced the temperture sensor on the STBD side facing the bow. Ran the boat for 15 minutes out of the water on a hose no change. I'm going to bring the sensor back maybe it no good. Hopefully this will fix it. Any reccomendation.....
 
You can check your gauge and w

You can check your gauge and wiring my touching the wire at the sender to the engine. The temp gauge will max out if wiring is good and gauge is good.

"carl, you dont say what year, which motor, ect. if its a EFI motor you could have changed out the ecm temp sensor. the gauge sensor should have just one wire, should be port side head. the ecm sensor is a two wire connector in the thermostate housing. now on a carb its the one wire sensor in the therm housing."
