"Hi All, Does anyone know if a new 4 cylinder 135 hp VP will swap out for my old 4 cylinder AQ140a.Theirs nothing wrong with my 280 leg so would like to keep it and just replace engine.

"It depends of what you mean b

"It depends of what you mean by "new". If you are talking about some 4 cylinder in-line engines made by GM that are used in some of the VP packages, the answer is NO, as the bellhousing bolt patterns are totally different and the exhaust is on the port side instead of starboard. However, if you are talking about a real Volvo OHC engine (same as the ones used in the AQ series between mid 70s and early 90s) the answer is YES."
