hey joe change the waterpump o

hey joe change the waterpump on my 20hp johnson pumeps good at idle gets to full trottle seems to slow down pumping but pumps alittle better now change evey thing i know checked everything could idrill the water plate holes bigger?

"somebody, at one time or another must have thought that they made the size of those holes just right. there is other things to check, i'd think that there's a clog or a leak somewhere other than your pump. check the the water tube, there could be peices of impeller or water tube gromet inside the tube only letting a little water through, both ends. the thermostat may be stuck closed. drilling the holes bigger seems kinda drastic."
