ok check for spark, none, primary side of the coil has less than 5 volts, checked the thermo swiches, ok, lanyard and ignition kill circuit on the white wire is ok grounded on off and open on crank and run, checked ohms on all 4 coils (pulser and charge) and check for grounding of coils, all ok. check the coils cranking, all produce the right voltage.
what i need to know the 9 way connector has 7 wires coming from it
I know 4 of them. what are the other 3?


black -ground
white- engine kill
grey /black stripe thermo swiches
yellow- 12 volt key on-crank power
green- tach?
pink ?
brown ?


how often do the cdi units go bad, ran fine last time used.

"yea but it dosn't show the 9 way connector. Mistake in the manual. Yes I am using a dvom. Maybe the on line manual from seloc will have it.

"ok must be a special tool like a peak reading voltmeter. No I do not have one, I guess I'll have to admit defeat and have someone look at it. What part of the system do you a DVA to check?"
 
i would unplug the main harnes

i would unplug the main harness 10 pin first and then check for spark. at least that eliminates the control box and key switch from the system
