"Hi, im looking for the cylinder head bolt torque specs so i can try to fire up this motor/boat/trailer combo i just purchased.I only paid $200 for a 16' grumman with a 97' 25hp evinrude,the guy <homeowner> i worked for said he had overheated the engine and took it to a local prop shop,and in a box are the items they reccomended he replace,what looks like the ignition coil,the water pump and head gasket.He said it will fire up,and after inspecting the coil,only the wire casing got hot,the wires inside seem fine.So my waterman friend and i are going to attempt to replace the head gasket and get it to fire to ensure the coil is still working,if so,i will only need to buy the water pump. Anyway,any inputs and/or info on this motor/boat would be great and thanks!!!"
