Will mixture to rich cause oily exhaust

I have a 94 25 hp rude and I a

I have a 94 25 hp rude and I am getting a lot of oil in my exhaust. I was wondering if the could be caused by improper fuel to oil ratio. I possibly could have screwed it up. Also how strong should my water flow indicator be with a new water pump??? I am getting a descent flow but not like others i have seen. I appreciate any info.

"Oily exhaust can come from too rich a mixture, should be 50/1, or incomplete combustion. If your running the proper mixture then I would check compression and spark.
If your water pump is new it should be fine. Can you hold your hand in the flow?? Should be warm but not so hot you can't hold your hand in it for more than a few seconds."
