"I am changing the starting system on my 92 15hp Johnson. I am adding electric start off an 88 15hp Evinrude. Would I need to swap the fuel pumps also? The Johnson has the standard pump due to manual start, and the Evinrude has a larger pump off the opposite side of the powerhead. Was this pump required for the electric model or just the way it came? Is it imperative to use the bigger pump? Just seems like alot of plumbing changes if its not needed. But i will if its important to keep the engine running perfectly. Thank you"
