"There is an engine in my boat
"There is an engine in my boat which is obviously a replacement engine (originally, I had Crusader 454CID 350HP engines). It is painted blue like a crusader, but lacks the crusader badging or a manufacturing plate. Also, it has a non-crusader serial number. The number is hard to read, but it appears to be TG2197XY. This appears to be a Gen 5 block. I suspect the engine is a Marine Power (because there was a marine power owners manual in the boat's documentation), but I don't know what form the Marine Power serial numbers take, or if there is any other way to tell. Can anyone tell me what the marine power serial numbers look like?"
