I just replaced the control and cables for my 1974 850. I'm looking for some advise on how to properly adjust the cables. All info is welcome. Thanks
 
For the shift cable: Set the m

For the shift cable: Set the motor gear slide to neutral. Spin prop to verify. Set the MerControl to neutral. Now turn the shift cable barrel nut so the shift cable end will connect to the shift slider and the barrel nut will fit into the holder.

For the throttle cable: Attach the throttle cable end to the throttle arm. Adjust the barrel nut until it pushes the throttle arm up against the stop. Install the barrel nut into the holder.
