1989 johnson 120 buzzer comes on when key is turned on

My motor has set up about a ye

My motor has set up about a year. When I turn the key on the buzzer comes on and stays on until I turn the key off. I have checked and found out that the purple wire has power when the key is turned on. The connections at the head are covered and not touching anything. What do you think it could be?

"Remove tha TAN wire for the horn. If the beeping continues with that wire removed, the horn is faulty.

If the beeping stops when you remove that wire, start disconnecting the various sensor wires from their components at the engine to find the offending somponent.

If that horn is a three connector horn, that is a black plastic horn with 2 push on terminals and 1 built in black ground wire, the TAN wire must be connected to the terminal closest to that black wire."
