" Help I have a volvo penta with gm 305 225 small block and I believe my starter went after starting twice on trailer, then at boat ramp starting making a wierd grinding type noise and the engine is not turning tried banging on it and juicing battery up to no avail. However, the stater is buried below the motor, Is the only way to replace is to remove the riser and manafold? or can you provide any tips?
