Removing lower unit

Trying to remove lower unit f

Trying to remove lower unit from Red Stripe Merc 50 HP. Have loosened 3 nuts that are visible on lower unit and it wiggles but Im afraid to reef on her. Is there a shift rod or something else to undo??If so where. Thanks.

" There are two nuts on either side tword the front of the lower unit. There are two more under the back side of the top of the foot, (pick it up and look) one holding on the zink. May be an allen wrench nut, access this through the hole above it on top of the back sloop of the lower unit. After taking the zink off, look under the foot where the zink was. There should be another nut holding the foot on. Good luck.

" Also, make sure all of the old impeller comes out, check for all the pieces if it isn't pissing. you should do a reverse flush if some of the pieces are missing. They could have been sucked up into the intake. Real pain in the butt. "
