Is the thermostat located in the housing where the temperature guage sensor is?
If not where is it located

"there are two housings,it is

"there are two housings,it is located on the front of the head where the square shaped housing is bolted down by 4-3/8" bolts also, connected by the crossover pipe going to the other square thermostat housing on the front of other head on a 8v-71."
