And why dont they install gas domes on the gauges instead of those plastic ones that turn dull after the gas gets a hold of it"

Tempo (aftermarket marine tanks - built-in and portable) make a number of tanks - a couple of different models in the portable 12 gallon size might be what you are after.

All you need to do to adapt for Honda is add the fitting.
