I just bought a 1970 Boston Whaler with an early 80s Evinrude 90. Runs great for about a half-minute then dies out. Sounds like starved for fuel. First I discovered a small split in the fuel line by the tank; fixed that but engine still won't stay running. Is there an easy way to test the fuel pump? Don't have a shop manual yet so this is probably the next step. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.
