    FWIW, The best my 2300 Holley equipped 2008 Glastron GT185 4.3 has been 54 mph per gps on flat water.

    FWIW, My old boat had a transom swivel / cable setup. The '57 Scott-McColloch 75 Hp had no problem when tilting. I was able to use that same cable through the tube on the 90 Hp Chrysler I bought.

    I can tell you this. My Holley 2300 runs just fine on my Glastron VP V-6 for going on 11 years now. They, like the 4160, have been around forever especially in the automotive arena.
