    MFS6CS SailPro tilt mechanism problem

I just replaced the lower unit w/ a complete assembly from Tohatsu. When tilting the motor up the shift rod no longer contacts the tilt mechanism flat surface; it slides off and goes "inside" the opening causing a lot of noise when turning the motor, not to mention that when lowing the unit it...

    2014 Sailpro shifting problem

All of a sudden it has become very difficult to move the shift left in either direction. If I apply a reasonable strong force it will move, albeit begrudgingly. I took the hood off and it appears that the linkage that is visible is working. What should I be looking at / be concerned about?

Nissan NS5B gear shift handle question

My motor stand tipped over and my outboard landed on the gear shift handle, shattering it into a hundred pieces. Replacement looks like it could be complicated; could you give me an idea of what replacing it involves?

    Tohatsu Sailpro tiller arm

Is there any way to adjust the friction on the arm movement? Mine will only stay in a vertical position; any other position it “falls down” where it will jam against the stern and preventing me from turning the motor unless I pick it up. Kind of a pain when maneuvering in tight quarters.

    2014 SailPro carburetor question

What is the purpose of 2 short hoses that attach to the carburetor and end up at the botto of the cowling by an exit hole? Looks like they are drain lines; my 2006 Nissan 6hp carburetor looks identical except it does not have these hoses attached to the carb. Inquiring minds need to know 🤔

Just picked a 3 yr old SailPro for my sailboat, wondering if this is beneficial or not?

    Nissan NSF5BS fuel pump question

This is a 2006 model, I am the 3rd owner. Useage appeared to be light to moderate, based on overall condition. I changed the carburetor last year to make it a 6hp. I'm thinking about replacing the 11 yr old fuel pump out proactively, as I had a fuel pump failure on a previous tohatsu motor at...

    2006 Nissan 5hp 4 stroke idle speed

When the engine has run for 5 minutes or so and then I shift to neutral, the idle speed is "normal" for about 10 seconds and then it starts to rev up. I don't have a tachometer to determine exactly how much it revs up, but it is high enough where the transmission doesn't sound "happy" when I...
