    Installing needle valve retainer on 1985 Johnson 15HP electric start (J15ECOB)

    I have the needle valve retainer and when I Put the retainer in the slot in which it belongs and screw in the needle valve it does not seem to line up to hit the slot to screw in for adjustment. So I screwed the needle valve retainer in it and started the needle valve in the adjustment slot...

    1985 15HP Johnson OB

    I can not get to the one nut on the carb. As you are facing the engine getting ready to pull the starter rope it is the nut on the right side. Hope someone can show me a trick or short cut. Thanks in advance
