    Why does my Mercury 50 Hp only starts when cylinder one spark plug is removed?

    Just cleaned both carbs and replaced some old ground wires on the coils. It starts hard with choke on and takes about 5 to 6 cranks. It will not idles unless throttled past 50 %. Seems like its running on 2 out of 4 cylinders. However, if the number 1 spark plug is removed it starts right up...
