    Warner gear v drive and gear box

    Are they one in the same, my V drive has the dip stick and the transmission has sq. plug. Question do I go by the dip stick in the V drive or also see how much oil is in the gear box? i put a stick down the trans hole about 4" till I made contact with fluid. I can't find anything in my manuals...

    502 940 hrs. Blown piston ?

    Members , I had a nock in my starboard 502 then about 2200 RPM that day , the ,motor stopped. When we disassembled it # 1. Cyl. Blew the rist pin and the rod put a 1/8 x 3/8 pit in the cyl. I have to ideas , sleve it (questionable ) or because of $$$ ,I can get a remanufactured 454 short block...
