    Mercury 1150 spark plug question

    Bought a used boat with Mercury Model 1150 motor. Seems to run real rich so thought I'd do a tune up. The literature says to use L76V spark pugs. Label on side of motor says "Equipped with Perma Gap plugs". Motor looks very clean and plugs look new but they are J4C. Just wanted to confirm...
