    GEN ii 4500 CONTROL PROBLEM 2009 50 hp

    I recently purchased a new lowes center console boat that has a 09 50elpto merc with the gen 2 4500 controls. These control seem to be extremely stiff. It almost feels like something is rubbing inside the box. Any help will be appreciated.

    Question for Tohatsu Guru

    I am about to purchase a 16ft I am about to purchase a 16ft flat bottom boat to duck hunt with. I am thinking about getting the 20hp Tohatsu for weight purposes. Will this motor push this boat okay or do I need to go bigger. Keep in mind I am no speed demon. lol I just want it to plane okay...
