    Boat wont start

    Had problems with my boat not starting it would just crank but not start. My Distributor is upside down and the only way to get the cap off is to remove it with the Shaft, so I did and the rotor button was black so I cleaned really good and put all back together now it attempts to start but does...

    I have a control box I bought to replace my old one it is a Quicksilver 16900A15, I am hoping you reference the new wires to the old wires :) thanks for any help wires on it are 16900A15 New Yellow/Red goes thru the Neutral switch so think it goes to my Solenoid like it did on my old one that...

    1974 Mercury 500 50 hp wiring

    rewired my outboard because all the wires were corroded, now when I turn the key it does nothing? Can anyone tell me where does the control box get power from? is it the Solenoid?

    I was having a problem with my boat that when I turned the key it would turn but not start, and I was not getting spark from the plugs, so I ask someone that knows about boats and he said it was the switch box, and he would also rewire it because it was really corroded. I bought a used one...
