    Oil Pressure sender

    I’m having problems finding an oil pressure sender for a 440 Chrysler with two stations. The Serra sender which I ordered from MarineEngine two station only reads 80 pounds which I know is incorrect. I checked with a mechanical gauge and the engine reads 40 pounds. Help!

    440 Advice

    I need advice regarding a 440 left had rotation recent rebuild about 10 hours of run time. It is leaking oil at the rear oil seal about a pint every 3 hours of running time. I have had to put a high pressure spring in the oil pump to get 40 lbs. oil pressure which drops to 20 lbs. at 1000 rpm...

    440 Engine thermostat

    Thank you Pete31 and Tolly-Family for your input on engine temp. Now I'm having trouble finding a 2 1/2" 140 thermostat. Do you know of any sources? The thermostat listed at Marine Engines is 2 1/8.

    Temperature rating for 440 chrysler thermostat raw water cooled (fresh water)

    My current thermostats are rated at 140 degrees. It seems that this is a low temperature for a gas engine. In your experience, what would be the best temperature? I have gotten advice from various mechanics, from; don't put in any thermostat, to 180 degrees.
