    Please HELP!!! Engine overheating in neutral but not in gear...or under load

    5.7Giphus Start the engine and at around the 20 min mark it slowly starts increasing temp to 200+. As soon as we put it in gear, the temp drops to 160 within 10 seconds. Back to neutral.... temp slowly starts climbing again. It never overheats while motoring at idle or at 3000 rpm....just...

    Rusting intake Manifold....BAD rust

    I just purchased a 1996 Skipjack (5.7 TBI) and am trying to get it running and noticed the intake manifold is bad...the rust is severe. My question is... I looked up the part number and it is a cast iron manifold. Would an aluminum one be better for salt water? Here is what I could find...
