    99 dt150 turnedoff wont turn on

    Past two days went fishing motor ran great. I turn.ed it off to fuel up and went to start it up and wouldn't start. It turns but doesn't fire up. Checked the safety shutoff and was still connected The neutral safety switch appears to be functioning. Any ideas?

    1999 dt150 shift problem

    I mounted the motor on the boat with brand new controls. When I shift into forward or reverse the gears grind into place. The motor is idling at 1100 rpms. Is the idle speed the problem or something else.
