    86 Mercury 115 Shock!!

    I have 1986 merc 115hp inline 6 0a975284. When throttle control is moved it will sometimes give you a shock that travels up your arm. This engine also lost power and idled home, then quit and wouldn't start. Back at home it has blue spark on all but #6. Could this be a shorting trigger?? thanks

    83 merc 115 no spark

    Hi, I have a 1983 merc 115 that only has spark on one plug out of six. Disconnected the rectifier and started up. installed new rectifier ran for 20 minutes and would not start. no spark on five cylinders again. Any ideas??

    1985 dt85 cdi failure??

    Hi, i have a 1985 dt85 which none of the engine monitor lights or alarm buzzer works. Also it seems like it lacks power and slows down or stalls. Compression 120 psi. Carbs cleaned. Idles fine. Any way to test cdi?? Thanks

    Johnson 1996 115 hp vapor pump

    I have a 1996 j115sxedr ocean pro looper that will not run without plugging the hose from the air silencer to the vapor pump. Is the diaphram bad in the vapor pump or is it something else ?? Starts and runs fine with the hose plugged. Thanks
