    25 HP Mercury need new prop?

    When I go in forward the motor will go fine at lower speeds. When I increase speed the motor whines and doesn't increase speed. From what I have read it appears I need a new prop? If so can I change this while it sits in my pontoon? First time boat owner. Sorry for my ignorance :)
