    Tachometer ? 1980 90 hp

    I have a tach that came off of a 1980 Johnson 90 hp outboard. Can I use it on a 1983 Mariner 40 hp outboard? Are they universal? Or do I have to have a Mariner tach. Can anybody help me on this? Thanks, River Rat

    I bought a 24' pontoon with a 40e mariner on it. Having some problems.The linkage that goes to the timing was broke and not sure of the proper adjustment. I have been adjusting and testing.
