    gas/oil mixture 48 hp SPL Johnson 1996

    I just bought a 1996 Grumman with a 48 hp SPL Johnson outboard motor. The gas has been sitting in the tank for about 3 years. My uncle told me that I needed to mix oil with the gas and he thought it was a 50:1 ratio. Can anyone out there confirm this?
