    1965 18 hp interchange with 63?

    Thanks to Vics I now know I have an 18 hp Johnson on my little boat. The gears and clutch dogs are worn and it jumps out of forward sometimes. I also have a 63 Evinrude 18 hp parts engine with good clutch and gears. Does anyone know if they interchange? Thanks in advance Lou

    new here Johnson 18 hp? 1957

    Hello to all I am new here. Have acquired a 14 ft blue star finned 1957 fiberglass that I am rebuilding. I have also found a 49 hp motor for it - but that is for another day I have a 14 ft aluminum runabout with what I think is a 18 hp Johnson. I cannot figure out what year or fro that matter...
