    Could anyone give me directions how to remove the lower unit off of my mercury 9.8? I have a crack on the case on the bracket that holds the whole motor and lower unit.I found a guy that can weld it but he wants me to take it apart so he can weld it on both sides.I also need an impeller...

    bad impeller?

    Hoping someone can help me out I have a mercury 110 9.8 I believe its a 1976.I was told I have a bad impeller since it doesn't spit water out the side like its suppose to.Can anyone tell me is it hard to remove the lower unit and replace it?
