    Dt 85 lower unit stuck in reverse

    My 1982 suzuki DT 85 is stuck My 1982 suzuki DT 85 is stuck in reverse. I can unhook the shift cable and get it to start and it seems to work fine in reverse but it won't shift back to neutral or forward. Feels like the shifting rod is bound up. Any help would be very much appreciated Thanks

    DT 85 gearcase

    I had my boat out the other da I had my boat out the other day I was backing up and when I went to put it in forward it will not shift back to neutral or forward. I took off the shifting cables and they move freely. I hope I didn't blow up my gearcase. anyone have any ideas.
