    Could use a few opinions about Could use a few opinions about my engine guage fluctuating at cruise RPM. Engine runs OK but temp flucuates consistantly up and down but within normal range.

    318 voltage

    Replaced old alt with 1 wire t Replaced old alt with 1 wire type. Old alt would not gen more than 6-8 volts even at high RPM. New one just barely gets to 12 volts even though under load. Any thoughts?
