    I ran the gearcase without oil and shot gear teeth through the housing. I need to replace the complete lower unit with a used one. Any suggestions on where to look. I know there are marine salvage places. Is there one close to the San Antonio TX area?

    My Maxxum 80, foot control has loose cables, I've tightened the screw all the way and they still override the guide at the head.     Trouble starting engine, 175HP Ficht 1998

    I turn starter switch on and only clicks. I continue turning swithch and after ablut 5 clicks it starts. Can anyone let me know what is wrong

    1998 Ficht 175 HP

    "I bought a 175 HP Ficht that "I bought a 175 HP Ficht that had been sitting without battery for three months. When I put it on the lake it starts ok, but will not go over 2500 RPM. I changed the fuel pump, changed plugs and no luck. Will sitting without battery lose electronic module settings...
