    4HP 1971 Johnson drive shaft removal

    I still need help. I removed t I still need help. I removed the lower unit but the drive shaft stayed up in the motor. Does anyone have any ideas on how to break it free? I am soaking it in WD but so far can not pull it out. hoke

    1971 4HP Johnson water pump amp lower unit

    I need help. I have a old 4HP I need help. I have a old 4HP that runs perfect but needs new impeller in the water pump. I have loosened the 4 bolts in the lower unit but it will not come out. Do I have to force it down? It drops down about 3/8 of a inch then locks up. I do not have a repair...
