MEFI-4 Idle Hunt at Start Mystery

Hello experts, Am struggling with a mystery. I have twin 2004 crusader 6.0s. On any start, hot or cold, the engine hunts for idle with wide swings. It settles eventually or if I give it a bit of throttle, it settles back quicker. It also happens when I throttle down in neutral, it hunts a bit...

    2004 (MEFI4) Crusader 6.0 MAP sensor question

Hi, I'm looking to replace the map sensors on my engines. Crusader lists the part number as R020036 but they are pricey. Is there an OEM alternative? I've seen several from GM/AC Delco that look identical but I'm guessing it's not that simple... just looking for confirmation, I really hate over...

Thermostat replacement - need to drain any coolant?

Help - what is this MEFI-4 Connector?

I have two of these on my port engine (crusader 6.0 2004 Mefi-4) and they aren't connected/plugged into anything...which rather troubles me. Does anyone know what these are? The starboard engine has one (or two) that might be connected to each other but not sure...but at least not dangling free.

    2004 6.0 Turns over, won't start, no alarm/buzzer

Hello, Just because it's one of those weeks, my port engine won't start. I turn the key, no audible alarm but the engine turns over but simply won't start. Any usual suspect? Could it be the kill switch for gear shift on the v-drives? Thanks!

    Fuel Coolers

Hi, I have 2004 6.0s (230hrs) with a returnless fuel system. The fuel coolers are showing mild corrosion where the raw water hoses connect to them. I'd like to change them but professionals are in short supply at the moment so I'm thinking of doing it myself. Does crusader have service/repair...

    2004 Crusader 6.0 Manifolds Lifespan

Hello, first time posting. Just purchased a boat with 2004 Crusader 6.0s. The survey suggested changing the manifolds because they are over 10 years old. The visually look fine, no cracks etc. The manifolds are FWC and the engines have under 300 hours. I guess my question is, do they really need...
