    over heating problem

    I have a 2001 ox66 225 hp 2 stroke. can sit and idle at dock all day no problem. Put it in gear and idle 50 yards over heat alarm goes off. water pump has lost prime. put motor in neutral and increase rpm a little it picks water back up and cools off. Boat has new lower unit thermostats...
