    Pinion Bearing preload

    I have an 04 Bravo 3 that I’m trying to figure out the preload on the pinion bearings. When I set the preload to 4-6 in/lbs it seems to make it where I can’t move the spacer (d) freely like the manual calls out. Can anyone help me with this one?

    Bravo 3 shift detent

    I recently purchased a 2004 crownline with a Bravo 3. It is very difficult to shift. The lower shift cable has been replaced. I removed the detent ball, and it shifts great. Is it okay to leave this detent and spring out? Thank you
