    Overheating alarm sounding

    Have a 2006 Mercury 115 4 stroke . Overheating alarm sounded when out on the water and wouldn’t allow over 2500 rpms even tho had a pee stream out back . Put muffs on at home , fine at idle , alarm sounds when rev to around 2000 rpm , even tho have a pee stream . Any ideas on what might cause...
